Signs of a
Spiritual Awakening

You can't sleep. Old friendships suddenly feel too small. Things that used to matter don't matter anymore, and you cry at things you used to walk past. Then you find a list online — ringing in your ears, 11:11 on the clock, buzzing in the top of your head — and think: this is it. I'm awakening. I've worked with people for years as a psychic and healer, and I hear this question a lot. So let me tell you how I see it. Without the glitter.

What a spiritual awakening really is

Let's be honest: it's not a promotion. You don't level up into a higher being. You simply start waking up to yourself.

For years most of us live from the head. We do what we should, we follow the plan, we keep busy. An awakening is the moment the heart starts talking louder than the plan. That's all. It's very human — and that's exactly why it matters.

Signs you might be going through it

The things that used to fill you up now feel empty.

Old emotions come back — sadness, anger, memories you thought were done.

Some relationships stop fitting, and you're not sure why.

You start asking questions: who am I without my job, my role, my family's expectations?

You need more quiet and less noise.

You trust authorities less and your own feeling more.

You notice coincidences and signs more often.

If you nodded at most of these, something is moving in you. Now the more important question: what do you do with that information?

Storms often come first

Very often an awakening doesn't start with light. It starts with a storm — a breakup, burnout, a loss, a door slamming shut. The soul speaks quietly first. When we don't hear it, it speaks louder, through things going wrong.

So if your life feels like it's falling apart, it may also be rearranging itself. Not every crisis is an awakening. But many awakenings begin with a crisis.

The traps on the way

Here comes the less comfortable part. The first trap is the ego in a new costume: "I'm awake, and they're all asleep." If your awakening makes you feel better than other people, it's not an awakening yet.

If your awakening makes you feel better than other people, it's not an awakening yet.

The second trap is shopping. Expensive rituals, courses, crystals, someone who promises to "activate" you for a four-figure price. You don't need any of it. Sometimes being so focused on raising your vibrations will make them lower.

The third trap is blaming everything on spirit. Headaches, insomnia, a racing heart, constant anxiety — please see a doctor first. Everything that's magical is also human, and your body deserves to be taken seriously.

It doesn't last forever

Nobody stays in an awakening forever, and that's good news. Storms happen, and they pass. What's left after the storm is usually quieter, simpler and more yours.

You don't have to understand it all or name it. Stop defining, start feeling. You're not becoming someone else. You're coming back to yourself.
