Cleanse Yourself
of Bad Energy

Feeling weak, without spirit or energy, and life is starting to go wrong? These are signs of negative energy at work. But you don't always have to call a specialist straight away. With a few simple methods you can treat yourself to an energy spa.

Where bad energy comes from

The "evil eye" — a spell cast with a glance — can catch us from a random person in the street. Friends, colleagues and acquaintances sometimes send us an energetic missile too. Emotions — even those of our loved ones — can stick to us and stir things up in our lives.

When I do energy cleansing, I see how negative energy from other people has stuck to the person I'm working with. Sometimes it stays for years. When I remove it, the smile and joy of life come back, and things start to fall into place on their own.

Salt isn't just for soup

Ordinary table salt is irreplaceable for protecting yourself against bad energy. A salt bath is a very simple and effective cleansing ritual. Dissolve a few tablespoons of salt in a full bath. Remember to submerge yourself completely (including the top of your head!), even for a moment.

If you don't have a bath — no problem! Use salt as a scrub in the shower. With gentle movements, rub salt over your body, including the soles of your feet and the top of your head, and after a moment rinse it all off.

Salt against quarrels

You argue constantly with the people you live with and tension hangs in the air? Salt will come to your rescue. Pour a handful of salt into a small bowl. You can hold your hands over it and ask your Guardian Angel for help, or simply say in your mind that this salt is helping you cleanse the place you're in.

The rule is simple: into every corner of your home (that's exactly where bad energy likes to linger), toss a small pinch of salt with a brisk movement. Start at the front door and work your way inward. If a room has a wall with windows, finish at the windows, as if you were pushing the bad energy outside. When you've finished, pour the salt into the sink and rinse it away with water.

After a cleansing, the home often seems brighter and a pleasant calm settles in. I even use salt when traveling, if I feel strange in the place I'm staying.

A smile against all evil

After a cleansing, people often ask me which talismans I can recommend to keep bad forces from coming back. I always see surprise on their faces when I answer: none. A cheerful spirit and a smile are the best protection against all evil.

All you need is to smile at yourself every day — in front of a mirror or in your heart, as long as it's sincere. All you need is to remember that bad experiences teach you something too, and that something better is waiting just around the corner. If it's hard to remember, you don't need to buy incense and magical objects. Reach for the salt and start a new day with a smile.

A cheerful spirit and a smile are the best protection against all evil.
