What to Expect in
a Psychic Reading

Maybe you've just booked your first reading. Maybe you're still hovering over the button. Either way, there's a little voice asking: what actually happens in there? Will they know everything about me? What if I hear something bad? Let me walk you through it. No mystery, no stage lights.

It starts with a conversation

Forget the dim room and the dramatic whisper. A reading with me, in person or online, starts the way most good talks do. You tell me what's on your mind. It doesn't have to be neat. Very often the question people come with isn't the one that really matters, and that's fine.

Then I lay out the cards. Sometimes three are enough. Sometimes I put fifteen or twenty on the table and make a little chaos, because I'm looking at the flow, not at one card at a time. The cards help me tune in. What I'm really reading is you.

What I'm really reading is you.

I'm a bit of a detective

People often bring a problem that has moved house. A fight at work, when it's really about the marriage. Anger about a cold coffee, when it's about something much older. My job is to find the real thing and name it, ideally in one sentence.

I tell you what I pick up in plain words, not in riddles. And I focus on what you can check yourself: your past, your present, your emotions, your relationships. If something I say doesn't fit, tell me. That's useful too.

How to prepare on the inside

You don't need to bring crystals, fast or cleanse anything. The preparation that matters is emotional.

Be ready to feel things. A lot of people tear up during a reading, often at a moment they didn't see coming. That's not a bad sign. It usually means we touched something true.

Be ready to hear something different from what you hoped. If you come in wanting only one answer, you'll hear only that answer, or you'll spend the hour fighting the rest. Try to come curious instead.

And be honest. You don't have to test me by staying silent with your arms crossed. The more open you are, the deeper we can go. It's a conversation, not an exam.

After the reading

Some people walk out light. Some walk out tired and a bit shaky, with a lot to think about. Both are normal. Give it a few days. Often the real click comes later, in the shower, on a walk, in the middle of a completely ordinary conversation.

Then ask yourself one question: what am I going to do with this? A reading is only useful when it turns into something small and real. A talk you've been avoiding. A boundary. An evening of rest.

One more honest thing. If a pattern has been with you for thirty years, one reading won't untie it. That's work for a good psychologist, week after week. I recommend that often, and there's no shame in it.

So, what should you expect?

Honesty. A bit more clarity. Maybe a few tears. And a reminder that you're not powerless. You never were.
